Precision Farming Overview

A precision farming system will help you get the maximum yield from each block of the farm. Components in a precision farming system include:

1. Collecting yield and soil information across the farm
2. Recording the information in computerised maps 
3. Analysing the recorded information to determine fertiliser, seeding, and spraying requirements
4. Downloading the information into control systems on your farm machinery which then carry out the instructions under computer and GPS guidance
5. Updating the computerised information through automatic yield analysis as crops are harvested and through future soil analysis
